FOKKERJ, I don't want to burst your bubble, but this SPAD and the insignia are not from the 13th Aero, though you're correct that the 13th Aero had a Grim Reaper with scythe as its unit insignia. This SPAD is actually from the French Escadrille SPA 94, and the Grim Reaper was the final unit insignia of this Escadrille. The letters "SPA" before the escadrille number signified the type of aircraft the unit was basivally equipped with. The two unit insignias - from the US 13th Aero and French SPA94 - were very similar but quite different in a few important ways. Greg van
